If you live for rocks and water, life is incomplete until you visit Grand Teton National Park.

 

Located in northwestern Wyoming, south of Yellowstone National Park and north of Jackson, twelve Teton peaks, reaching elevations of 12,000 feet, support a dozen mountain glaciers. Towering above them is the Grand Teton, rising to 13,770 feet above sea level.

ROCKS: Rock climbing. Mountaineering. Mountain park hiking. Backpacking. Camping.

WATER: Float the Snake River. Enjoy boating and canoeing. Fishing within park grounds is permitted but requires a Wyoming fishing license. Non-resident licenses may be purchased at park marinas.

Among the park's winter activities are skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling

Less strenuous activities include ranger-led walks, biking, wildlife viewing, photography and sightseeing.
